When using volume extract feature, SpaceClaim does some boolean operations in the background. If geometry has any errors then boolean operations may fail. Please select bodies in structure tree --> use right click --> select Check Geometry. If geometry has any errors, please modify or recreate geometry at those positions to remove errors and then proceed.Â

Volume extract does some boolean operations in the background. Combine tool also may fail if two bodies are just touching each other and having tangential contact. Make sure two bodies has good intersection and then use Combine tool. Also make sure that solid bodies there is no gap between solid bodies.Â

AdministratorDo I need to always create capping surfaces to extract fluid volume? -

Ansys EmployeeVolume extract command gives option to select faces adjacent to capping faces and also edges forming capping faces. You need not to have capping faces always. This works good with planar capping faces. If your capping faces are not planar then it is better to create capping surfaces first and then proceed.Â
