Ansys EmployeeIs there a way to locate Weak Springs that are generated during solution? -

Yes, once the solution is done, you can select Solution Information from Outline tree. By default it will show Solver Output in Worksheet tab. You can switch to Geometry tab (at the bottom left corner of graphics window) to see the Weak Springs.
If it is difficult to locate them due to other FE Connectors, you can set Display to Weak Springs under Details of Solution Information/FE Connection Visibility.Â

The user should not be relying on weak springs if deformations are important to them since weak springs are meant to provide numerical stability.

Ansys EmployeeIf the user do not want to use the weak springs then define constraints to prevent the 6 rigid body modes without overconstraining the model. -

AdministratorAn additional comment on locating weak springs - Look at the 'Solution Information' branch, solver output, then use Ctrl+F to search for the phrase 'weak spring'.
