Ansys medini analyze implements safety analysis methods into one integrated tool. Some of these safety methods include hazard and operability (HAZOP), fault tree analysis (FTA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), failure modes, effects, and diagnostic analysis (FMEDA). Ansys medini analyze can be integrated with other engineering tools to conduct model-based safety analysis. In terms of industry, it primarily targets electrical and electronics (E/E), software controlled systems in automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment.

Ansys medini analyze can be integrated with Ansys SCADE Architect, IBM Rational DOORS, IBM Rational Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, PTC Integrity, Microsoft Office, Tortoise SVN, IBM Rational ClearCase, Jamma Software and others.
