Assessing noise level during impact (explicit with acoustics – possible?)

  Hi,
  
  I have an explicit simulation (impact test of a device) and I am looking for a way to assess the noise levels during impact (compare to test results and do a comparative analysis study between different designs).
  
  Is it possible to do such a thing using ansys with the results from an explicit simulation?

  The frequency domain acoustic BEM solver or transient acoustic FEM solver(*MAT_ACOUSTIC) can be coupled with explicit analysis to do impact noise simulation in LS-DYNA.

  So only possible with LS-DYNA? not with the explicit-str module (autodyn)?

  Yes, the frequency domain acoustic BEM solver is available only in LS-DYNA.
