I'd like to calculate a downhole motor.

I have a rotor and a stator. The rotor is smaller than the stator. The rotor is rotated by water being pumped into the stator. The drilling fluid, pumped by the drilling rig, flows to the bit, causing the rotor to rotate within the stator lining. As the drilling fluid is pumped through the motor, the rotor performs planetary motion relative to the stator axis, rolling over the lining teeth. The rotor itself rotates clockwise. The rotor's planetary motion is converted into coaxial rotation of the spindle shaft using a flexible shaft or articulated device that transmits torque and hydraulic axial load from the rotor to the shaft.Please give me some tips on how to implement this solution in FLUENT.
Can I use the default 6DOF settings without scripting?
My goal is to measure the torque and rotation speed of the rotor.I would like to receive some tips on how to implement this.

Channel PartnerYou need to read up on the wall contact limitations too.
With overset you can move the rotor in the stator and "just" need to work out the path and rotation speed. For moving mesh you don't need the rotor but instead need to move the wall around and squeeze/expand the cells as you go. Overset is probably the easier option.
