SubscriberHello,
I've been working with Ansys Workbench, Mechanical and Fluent for two weeks now and had no problems until today. When I opened Workbench, created a new Transient Structural window and tried to create a new DesignModeler geometry, DesignModeler didn't open correctly and gave me the error: "AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written: C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalTempAnsysWBDumpfile.dmp". This strange since up until today this worked perfectly. Furthermore, if I want to edit a model in Mechanical, it doesn't start correctly and I only get a grey screen. I already tried various solutions I found on other pages, but nothing seems to work. I also reinstalled all Ansys products. Can you help me to fix this?
Thanks, Koen

SubscriberHello ANSYS users! I am trying to analyze beam related problem, but whenever I double click the MODEL to open what I have drawn in Design Modeler it pops up an error which says "AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written: C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalTempAnsysWBDumpfile.dmp". I have re-installed ANSYS and also change the path to drive C, still the problem persists. Please help me to get out of this problem.
Thanks in advance!

Subscriber"AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written: C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalTempAnsysWBDumpfile.dmp".
I finally arrived at a solution for this problem after 7 times re-installing Ansys.
Solution:
Just click start >> type workbench >> right click then open file location >> it will be stored in C drive.
Cut Ansys folder
And paste in the drive where you installed your software. If D drive suppose, paste it in drive
