SubscriberHello,Â
I am simulating a bioreactor with CFX. I have three Rushton impellers rotating at the same speed on the same shaft.Â
I would like to understand what pitching the blades does for mixing in the simulation. For example, I would like to pitch the top impeller 45 degrees to get better mixing horizontally in the reactor.Â
For my setup, I subtract my reactor internals from an enclosure and then use a frozen rotor model with pitch change none. Do I need to rebuild my geometry for every run where I want to change the pitch on my impellers? This is not something I could apply the option "pitch change" for correct?Â

SubscriberIf you want to increase or decrease the number of blades around the impeller, then I think you need to change the geometry every time....
