SubscriberHello and good day to everyone here,
This is actually the continuation of this post. Currently I would like insert inflation setting for my meshing process but I am currently stuck at trying to obtain y+ value and first layer height. Where can I find the right values for y+ so I can utilize it to calculate for first cell height? I did look for more information regarding first layer thickness in "Meshing help" menu but there is no mention on how to get y+ and first layer height.
That is all from me now. I hope anyone can assist me since I am still very new in ANSYS CFD.

Ansys EmployeePlease check Y+ defintion.
Various parameters are required like free stream velocity, density.
What is your application? What is surface mesh size?
If you are using say 5mm surface mesh size, please go ahead with 0.1 to 0.5 size for first layer thickness for inflation. Run few iterations and check Y+. Accordingly you can further change first layer thickness in meshing.

Keyur
