Subscriberhello everyone,
i have been trying to perform compression test simulation using static structural and giving multilinear plasticity property and using displacement as the boundary condition on one end whereas on the other end fixed support.i am looking for a non linear real type scenerio stress strain curve but i am always getting linear curves .could anyone suggest what to do?

SubscriberHi Shukla,

I'm algo simulating a compression test of cross-laminated timber, with orthotropic elastic properties along with hill's plasticity criterion and isotropic bilinear hardening. You have to know the nature of the material you ara simulating, then you can choose the correct constitutive behavior for it. Tell os what material you're dealing with. If it is metal or concrete, maybe you can use von mises criterion, which suits well for isotropic materials.

SubscriberHello Rodrigo,
The material is concrete . And i have the stress strain data from compression test . so what do you suggest ?
