Struggling with setup of sparger for modelling and simulating a bubble column.

3D model of bubble column and sparger

I have modelled a bubble column and a sparger within it using ansys discovery. I want to simulate the gas leaving the sparger in the middle of the column and dispersing into the column, However the gas does not leave the boundary of the sparger, even though theres a pressure outlet identified. Im using a 2 phase eularian model.

Use Fluent, but there should be an interior between the gas & liquid space. I suspect you didn't split out the two fluid zones so instead have two coincident meshes.

I'd also review DPM model as that is often used for spargers too. The end choice is generally down to a trade off of costs (cpu & time), accuracy and need (do you REALLY need Eulerian).
