SubscriberI'm new to ANSYS (I just installed ANSYS 2026 R1 the other day), and I'm trying to create a simulation with the following criteria:
- A pipe/tube has air flowing through the inside and water particles injected into it at the inlet.
- Water particles are injected at various angles like a spray.
- Velocity profiles of both fluids are obtainable. Said profiles can be used to track the velocity of an individual particle throughout the pipe/tube.
The goal is to see how the water particles interact with the air and the walls of the pipe/tube. I'm overwhelmed by all the menus and options and guides, and I need help figuring out how to make the simulation I want to make. I have a model and a mesh of a pipe, and I already know I need to make a multiphase model and an injection, but that's it. Any help and suggestions are very appreciated.

Forum ModeratorHave a look at the DPM model and Lagrangian Wall Film (LWF). There will be bits of various tutorials but nothing that's exactly what you want.Â

SubscriberHere's an update to specify the water injection. It needs to be akin to a nebulizer, so I'm using a point cone injection.

SubscriberI tried making some more changes and now the particle track is not showing anything at all.
