SubscriberHello,
I want to locally refine a part for detailed results (static structural) but without ending up with a heavy file. So I sliced my initial model and would like to focus on the orange section for fine results. I also want to add periodic boundary conditions on the side faces so the green and blue extreme faces should match (they did when I first tried meshing the entire piece without slicing). Do you have a suggestion on how I should go about meshing it? So far I've been trying to add body sizing to each piece but it keeps failing.Â
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeYou can use sphere of influence and body of influence.Â
for periodic, make sure that you have topologically matching surface i.e. it has same no. of edges and vertices and same area.Â
