SubscriberHello all,
I am trying to create a parameter to change the angle of an edge on a 2D surface in SpaceClaim, but whatever I do the "create parameter" button stays grayed out.Â
Â
I have tried with both the move and the pull tool, but neither seem to work.
Could some please shed a light on this?
Thanks in advance,
HenriqueÂ

SubscriberHi Peter,
Thank you for your continuous help here :)
This is a good workaround, but in my case the vertex translation to achieve the correct angles would be not exact numbers and for me defeats a little bit the purpose of the easiness of a parametric study. In the end, this is probably what I am going to do, but I was wondering if there is no other way to control the angle directly. I mean, I am pretty sure that in past versions we could do this with the move tool. Or am I tripping?
My second idea would be creating the geometry from scratch and record a script with variables I could then parametrize. But again, this feels too much work considering that most of my geometries I extract from a external CAD software.
In case you or someone else have further suggestions, I am happy to hear them.
Best,
Henrique -

SubscriberHi Henrique,
If you switch to DesignModeler, that has the ability to control the angle of a line with a parameter directly.
Cheers,

SubscriberThat's great, I will give it a try.
It's been a while since I worked with DM though, and I remember having a hard time figuring it out hehe.
Thanks!
