SubscriberI've recently been having some issues when trying to run a CFD analysis. I've been able to carry out these types of analyses before on this computer, but for some reason whenever I open the 'Setup' tab within the Fluent module the program crashes and shows messages such as "cx1950.exe has stopped working" and "The FLUENT application failed to validate the connection".
Â
I have uninstalled my older student version, downloaded a newer copy and reinstalled the software 5 times and the result remains the same.Â
Â
If someone could help me resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ansys EmployeeMay be a graphics issue. What graphics card you have on the machine ? Can you try updating it to latest according to its vendor website ?
Also, check if you can launch stand-alone Fluent

SubscriberThe machine I use has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics card, I updated the driver recently to check if this was the root of the problem but I still seem to be getting an error message.Â
I also don't appear to have a stand-alone Fluent program that I can open within my Ansys folder, there is only CFX & FENSAP-ICE.

SubscriberApologies for the late reply!
I have found the program in the location you mentioned and it opens, but how do I import my geometry/mesh files?
