Assigning Heating Rates to a Register on Thermal Desktop

I have a boundary node/surface that is only exposed to environmental radiation.  I want to be able to assign the heating rates to a register so I can track track it and do calculations in Sinda/logic manager.  This is my current logic block

"      Register=Submodel.QNode#".  I have the symbol output as a register.  When I try to plot the register, it remains as the global value and doesn't change with time.  When I plot the heat rates on the boundary node of Submodel.Node#, I have a value that changes with time.  Is there a reason my register is not updating or are there any workarounds to this.  When I use the logic block on a node that's not a boundary node, it works.

To add to this, I'm on Thermal Desktop 25.2.
