Hello,

I have successfully installed Ansys R1, including the Add-Ins to Solidworks.  However whenever I attempt to move from Workbench into the set up for an analysis I am informed that "Capability CAD Interface - Solidworks does not exist in the ANSYS licensing pool."  

How do I resolve this issue?

Or, do I need to import Solidwork geometries in a different format?  If so, which is the best format for a DIN S275JR steel tube / bar structure with welds?

 

I have tried reinstalling several times.  I've deleted all references to previous installations, etc.  

I can't find any other ideas online, hence I'm reaching out for assistance.

Unfortunately, ANSYS Student version only supports the following geometry import

Neutral format import IGES, STEP

Parasolid (native within Ansys DesignModeler)

You can check the ANSYS Student download page -> Click on the package and select 'What's Included"
