SubscriberHello all,
I have been trying to build a large P2D battery model made up of 35 prismatic cells connected in a 7S5P configuration. The simulation seems to crash without any warning or error messages. I have concluded that the virtual busbar connection in the "Battery Modeller" in ANSYS Fluent is the issue, as I tried running 1S3P, 3S1P, 1S8P, 1S15P, 1S35P, and 35S1P configurations, and the simulations ran without any hiccups. I also tried using fewer batteries in the module (3S5P, 2S5P, 2S2P), and it ran into the same issue. I've tried using physical busbars as well, and ANSYS refuses to acknowledge the connection and keeps giving me the error "Warning: Positive tab is not the last entity in the detected connection list. Please check zone selections." regardless of how I try to connect it.
The most recent 2S2P model, with virtual connections, ends up charging the module, even though I am running a discharge case, and gives me the following error. I had never seen this pop up when I ran my single-cell model:Â
"IDA returns error code: -14
ida solver failed when calling echem submodel in a normal call: Vp=19.558372 Vn=3.232119"
I would like to use a virtual connection, but ANSYS refuses to be compliant. Has anyone run into this issue before and know where I am going wrong with the setup?
Many thanks,Kantharuphan
