Troubleshooting Tip For “Error: Cannot plot along curve length of ‘…’ “

  When attempting to make an xy plot along a curve length, a coworker and I were both getting "Error: Cannot plot along curve length of '…' " whenever we clicked on a surface. The solution turned out to be reducing the number of cores being utilized to just 1.

  This behavior can occur when the selected curve is distributed across two or more partitions in a parallel run. In such cases, the Curve Length option for XY plotting may not work correctly. If the same case is run in serial, the plot along the curve length should work as expected.
  Therefore, when running the simulation with multiple processors, it is recommended to use the Direction Vector option instead of Curve Length for the XY plot.
