Spatial Average of Particle Velocity in Rocky

      Hello,

I have the absolute translational velocity of each particle in the system.

I would like to compute the spatial average of this velocity over all particles (i.e., the sum of particle velocities divided by the total number of particles in the domain) at each output time interval.

Could you please let me know how to proceed?

      Thank you in advance.

      Hi Youssef.

Yes, this is straightforward in Rocky. You don’t need to manually sum and divide — Rocky already has this built in.

      Go to:

      • Particles > Properties
      • Absolute Translational Velocity > Time Plot > Average

For more details, please take a look at the user manual:

      Hope this helps!

      Warm Regards,

      Jackson
