Peripheral Milling in Explicit Dynamics

      Hi,
I'm trying to simulate peripheral milling operation in explicit dynamics in ansys. I want to rotate the cutter and move it simultaneously along the length of the workpiece. However, I'm unable to do both. I'm not sure about what type of conditions I should use. I also don't want the cutter to deform, so what condition should I give? I'm also attaching some images of what I've been doing till now.

These are the contact settings I'm using

As I was unable to move the cutter in x-direction. I gave displacement to workpiece instead. The above image shows that.

These are the settings I'm using for rotation of cutter. But when I solve, its cause the cutter to move randomly in the xy plane and not stay at its place only rotating.

Please help me, its urgent for my project

I suggest you rotate the cutter on a fixed axis and move the work piece toward the cutter.

which condition should i give for cutter rotation - displacement or remote displacement?

and is the condition given for workpiece to move is correct?

I tried your suggestion. It's still not working. Can you please tell me the detailed boundary conditions and body connections that I should use for it to work.

Under the Connections folder, insert a Revolute Joint to ground on inner diameter face of the cutter. Add a Joint Load of Rotational Velocity to that joint.

Insert a Translation Joint to ground on the back face of the work piece. Add a Joint Load of Translational Velocity to that joint.
