SubscriberHi,
I’m using Ansys Electronics Desktop 2024 R2 v242 and I’m trying to use AMD AOCL with HFSS.Using the same AEDT installer/version, AOCL loads correctly on my Ryzen laptop, but on my Ryzen desktop the HFSS solver always loads Intel MKL only.
Laptop (Ryzen 7000-series): AOCL DLLs are loaded during solve (confirmed in the loaded modules).
Desktop (Ryzen 9000-series): AOCL DLLs exist on disk but are never loaded. Is MKL forced by design in v242 on some systems even if AOCL DLLs are present?

Ansys EmployeeThe AOCL supported by HFSS is 4.1.1, but what is the AOCL of the Desktop version that you say cannot be recognized?

SubscriberTo clarify, my issue was that when solving in HFSS on an AMD Ryzen 9000-series CPU, the solver was using the Intel MKL modules instead of the AOCL modules (i.e., AOCL was not being loaded/recognized during the solve).
After upgrading AEDT/HFSS to 2025 R2, the issue was resolved and AOCL is now loaded correctly. This suggests that in AEDT/HFSS 2024 R2, AOCL may not be properly loaded on Ryzen 9000-series CPUs on my desktop system.
