About the difference between static, transiant and dynamic analysis

In static, we can apply the time-based analysis and in dynamic as well as we can apply time-based load in Ansys so what is the main difference between this all. can the modal get changed in each of this? or not.

      Hi Shounak123,

In Dynamic analysis, such as transient structural or explicit dynamics, we consider the equation of motion: [M]*{a}+[C]{v}+[K]{u}={F}, {a} is the acceleration, [m] is the mass matrix, [C] is the damping matrix, {v} is the velocity vector, [K] is the stiffness matrix, {u} is displacement, so there is a dynamic term [m]{a} and [c]{v}.

In Static Structural analysis, we are only solving the [K]{u} = {F}. The time shown in Static analysis is pseudo-time, which means it is not real. It is only used to help describe how the force or displacement is applied, or some time-dependent material properties such as creep.

      Regards,
