Input volumetric heat flux in CFX

      Hello.

Can I input the volumetric heat flux in CFX domain?

I want to consider heat exchanger with only one fluid, so I have to input the heat flux data from the experimental results.

I have the total heat flux data in dimension [kW].

I want to input the data to entire fluid domain in dimension [kW/m^3]

Can I input the data like that? How can I?

      Thank you.

      Hello,

I am guessing you want to provide a Volumetric Heat Source and not a Surface Heat Flux.

You can make use of Subdomain Approach in CFX. Once you create a subdomain, you can then provide your Energy Source.

In CFX, you can also use Profiles from Tools->Initialize Profile Data.

You can find more information in CFX documentation for both Subdomain and Profiles.

      Regards,

      SD

      Thank you for your reply.

I have applied the Subdomain and Energy source to the domain, but in the CFD-post, its temperature didn't vary.

I think the Energy source didn't applied normally,

These are the settings I have inserted. I there any problem inserting the subdomain and heat source?

      Thank you in advance.
