SubscriberWe currently provide IT support to one of our clients who has an ANSYS license that allows the use of Workbench and Mechanical. However, when attempting to use SpaceClaim, an error is displayed indicating that disco_level1 is not enabled in the license.
The installed version is ANSYS 2022 R2.
We would like to know how to proceed with upgrading or expanding the license to enable the use of SpaceClaim, and what steps are required to do so.We look forward to your guidance.

Forum ModeratorWhat does the customer have for licenses? With 2022R2 SpaceClaim should be supported by alternative licenses such as cfd_preppost, elec_solve_level3, preppost and ansys.

Forum ModeratorIf SpaceClaim opens, can they go to File -> SpaceClaim Options -> License. Do they see an Alternate License defined? They can select 'Mechanical Enterprise' and it should use that license if it is available. If they do not have Disco_level1 or SpaceClaim licenses, you can uncheck the "Check for SpaceClaim license" box.
