SubscriberHello, members.
I would like to connect all nodes in the top of the column in the same master node using the command MPC184. Currently, I have been using CERIG command to apply restrictions for the base of the column describing a rigid region and, RBE3 command to apply displacement in the top of the column. However, how my analysis is for large displacement, I would like to use the element MPC184, recommended for non-linear analysis.Ā
1) Using MPC184 on Mechanical APDL, I only know to connect one node at a time, or, one node for a line of the command. I have been trying to use the command nsel, cmsel, however, IĀ could not. How could I connect all nodes on the master node on Mechanical APDL?
2) I would like to have one model look similar to below:
3) The nodes at the top of my column are those and I would like to connect all.
I wonder if any member could help me.
Regards.

I just see this one. I guess this one is already addressed in your newer postĀ /forum/forums/topic/constraint-equations-may-not-be-valid-for-elements-that-undergo-large-deflections/?
Thanks,
