non premixed model of combustion under wire mesh

I want to eliminate downstream combustion, because there is no fire there. I try to find some UDF code about this, but no code to do this work. I didn't find any option in fluent to stop the reaction in down stream zone. I have attached the temp result figure. I use Nonpremixed model, chemical equilibrium, non-adiabatic. 100% CH4 and 21% O2. Wall is constant temperature. 2D asymmetry model.

      How to deal with it?

      Thanks in advance.

      sketch

wire mesh is presented by circles with D=0.35mm

In the computation domain of previous post, the upper part is pipes of air and methane.

      Hello,

Just to be sure that i understood your question, you want cold flow (exhaust flow) in the downstream right?

Yes, Rahkumar, the downstream shouldn't have combustion. It seems the combustion is governed by the PDF file; if there is proper ratio of methane and air, there will be combustion. Based on experiment, there should be no flame downstream.

(I use pressure outlet and P1 radiation model. The flammability limit is 0.1042.)

      Hi !

I have the same issue. Did you find a way to prevent reactions in a specific zone ?

      Thanks
