Help with Reinforced Concrete to Steel column hybrid connection

I am currently trying to creat a hybrid connection which connects reinforced concrete directly to a steel column. I have used SOLID65 for the concrete and LINK180 for the rebar. I searched for what i believe is most of the data for doing reinforced concrete on this site thus far and used the collected information to make this model.

I am currently trying to understand why the model simply does not work. If i use any other material for the "concrete slab", the model runs fine and i get results. However, when i use the Solid65 and rebar(LINK180) commands the model only fails. (ERROR "An unknown error occurred during solution" and "Linear Tetrhedral elements have been used in regions with linear materials"

IMAGE ATTACHED SHOWS QUARTER MODEL OF STEEL COLUMN CONNECTION. NOTE THE STEEL SECTIONS GO INTO THE CONCRETE SLAB

THe contact type is bonded connection

You are doing everything right. Your option is possible. All you have to do is pour the concrete correctly, install the reinforcement and wait a few days for the concrete to cure. Your construction will be strong and durable.nn
