SubscriberHi,
I am curretly running a simulation in fluent inside a annular chamber like image shown below. All grey zones are walls and fluid flow is bounded withing the two empty spaces (shown with arows).
I am trying two different ways to run the coupled wall simulation
    1. I keep all the zones as fluid while meshing and inside fluent setup I change the zones to solid and fluid accordingly. Use the coupled wall in mesh interface option and then setup my BCs. Then I compute the S2S radiation view factors. This methods works
    2. For the same domain, in the second method, I define all my bodies as solid or fluid inside meshing and then generate the grid. After intiating the setup fluent automatically couples the solid and fluid zones which negates the need to do the coupled wall again (or so I think, pls correct me if I am wrong). In this method, after entering my BCs when I try to compute the view factors Fluent crashes.
In the log file I see, Error [node 999999] [time 11/6/25 15:40:14] Abnormal Exit!
I have tried increasing my clusters to reduce the computational need but Fluent still crashes.
I need some help to undestand why the crash is happening. Happy to provide extra details.
