SubscriberHello everyone,
I am trying to simulate a ball screw so that it moves in a circular motion (rotation and translation at the same time), and this comes from the rotation of the screw shaft, which produces translational motion in the ball screw so that it can move forward and backward. Can anyone help me figure out
how to set this up? -

Ansys EmployeeHi,
I think you can try using the cylindrical joint on the shaft. It will give you free rotation and translation along the z-axis, and then you can apply the joint load to the rotational DOF of this joint.
