How to do a transient simulation for a CPW?

Hi all, I used the example for a CPW for coplanar_waveguide.aedt in the examples under transmission lines folder. I was wonder how can I do a transient simualtion for a CPW. If I do a simulation in the frequency domain and look at the S-paramters, and then do a transient simulation with the same conditions used in the example. The S-parameters will be completely different.

However if I do a simulation for a microstrip line and get the S-parameters, in the frequency domain, and then do a transient simulation with the same conditions. When I check the S-parameters they match! Which makes sense if I am doing a simulation in the time domain using a transitent solution type my S-parameters should be the same as if I were doing it in the frequency domain. However when I try and do simulation with a transient solution type for a coplanar waveguide the S-parameters dont match up. So I just want to know what I could be missing? Because all I'm doing is changing is the solution type from termial to transient. I dont get any errors when doing a validation check or any warnings when running. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Ansys learning forum.

Please share the S-parameter results of both frequency domain and transient ones to help us serve you better. If possible please share results of both the designs in a single report.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth,
