SubscriberGood morning,
I'm having a fairly serious problem importing a step from a client who uses SolidWorks, and it's not the first time this has happened.
The step is made up of multiple components, and I see some of them with different names than the one the client gives me in his Excel sheet.
I tried opening the same file with other software (I've attached a photo) and I see the correct codes.
In this attached file, for example, I see the following components:"CA000464_CA000464-B" instead of "CA000464-C"
"CA000597" instead of "CA000597-B"
"CA000464_CA000464-B _1" instead of "CA000678"
"CA000465_CA000465-B" instead of "CA000465-C"ETC...
What could it be?
SpaceClaim must open files with the same original name; it cannot change the name. This is a problem that needs to be fixed.
I can attach the example file. -

SubscriberHi Roberto,Â
I notice you are using 2025R2 I recently posted this - https://innovationspace.ansys.com/forum/forums/topic/spaceclaim-2025r2-step-file-export-issues/?template=discovery
Have you tried with 2025R1 to see if there is any difference? Wonder if this is linked to the same issue.Â
