Sweeping mesh failed to assign divisions. The division specifications are too strict.

I used sweep method to generate a structured mesh for the coil shown in the following image.

However, when I add the fluid body in the shell side (which is just a cylinder surrounding the whole coil and intersects the coil only at the inlet and the outlet), I get 3 errors:

1- Sweeping mesh failed to assign divisions. The division specifications are too strict.

2- Interval assignment for map/sweep mesh fails. Please check mesh size definition.

3- A general failure occurred during the solution process.

Even though all sizings and mesh settings were left the same as before I add the shell side fluid body.

When I change the sizing to soft, these errors don't appear but the results will be extremely bad in quality.

Any ideas how to make this work?

What did you set for sizing/mesh types on the shell side?

I've only added a sizing on the intersecting edge between the shell and the coil to be similar to the circumferential size of the coil pipe. I didn't use any special method or change the global sizing. I wanted to see the result first then play with these parameters.

I tried to split the coil to outer and inter parts and sweep each part on its own, but still I got the same errors.

Cut the coil (and so the fluid inside) in multiple bodies using a plane passing through the axis of the coil, then put them in a single multibody part (Solid and Fluid can be in different multibody part) so they share faces at the interface. right-click on the individual coil body and generate the mesh.

Thank you all for your advice. The problem has been fixed by splitting the faces of the fluid inside the coil at the same place where the shell intersects the coil and then generating the mesh for each body separately from the innermost body to the outer one.
