Hello All,
I am new to this sofware and I am trying to simulate a magnetorquer where my aim is to find magnetic diapole moment. But I read that we cannot find magnetic dipole directly so I came across torque method to find first torque and then from that using feild calculator finding dipole moment. It would be great help if someone can help me understand it better and can tell me how to proceed forward with the simulation. I have attached the screen shot of the complete setup my simulation. Any hints would be really helpful for me.
Thank you in advance for your time and response.ÂÂ

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Once you have computed the Maxwell design then you can proceed to compute the magnetic moment.
If the core has a non-linear material, then the magnetic moment can be computed using B and H fields. So,
Mm = B/μ0 – H -> total magnetic moment. This is general and universal for any case.
Mm = B/μ0 – μr H -> remanent magnetic moment in the linear case.
To do the calculation above you need to use the fields calculator.
