Eroded Mass due to Erosion of Soil Particles by Fluids

      Hi,

I need help obtaining the mass of eroded soil particles after a one-way and two-way coupled CFD-DEM simulation that exit the domain (See image attached). The eroded mass analyses module within Rocky only gives eroded mass due to particle-boundary collisions and not those that are due to fluid-particle interactions resulting into particle detachment and later erosion. Any assistance and advice on this?

      Hi:

I am not sure what you mean by "detachment"? Any particle that hits a boundary will be included in the erosion calculations.  I don't think it matters how it got there.

The positions of the particles calculated by Rocky can be influenced by either fluid forces (from Fluent) or collision with another particle (calculated by Rocky).

      Regards,

      Judy
