SubscriberI have noticed that LS-DYNA currently provides an integrated LBE+ALE approach, which can more efficiently handle obstacles in air blast simulations. Based on this, I wonder whether the same method could be applied to analyze underwater explosions? In the LBE method, the blast pressure data is derived from the historical CONWEP air blast database. If I have corresponding underwater explosion data, could I use user-defined functions to implement underwater explosion analysis?

SubscriberHi, are you aware of this guy below?  Outside people in LSTC/Ansys who can't comment, this guy is probably the only other free source that one can utilize.  I believe we can do underwater explosion with load_blast_enhanced and an SALE approach.  However, I've not done enough studying to know what I am doing.   I will get there one day though.  Ameen Topa has some publicly availble lectures that touches this type of topic often and is a good resource to reach out to.  I just want to share this in case it helps.Â
