SubscriberHi everyone,
I am doing high velocity impact analysis on axisymmetrical model using MAT_110 for ceramic, MAT_22 for composite and MAT_15 for impactor.Â
I have used 2D shell elements, with erosion criteria as MXEPS with hourglass 6 (QM = 0.2) for each part. For composite delamination, I am using constrained_tied_node_failure. Although my damage is coming as expected my results are not matching and nodes are also not maintaing proper contact. Please help me through simulation.

SubscriberHi, consider using part_stacked_elements for this type of high_number_of_layers composites. I know you want to do this in 2D but this feature allows you to use a single representative shell body to generate an arbitrary number of layers of solids/shells.
very useful for this type of application I believe.
may not directly answer your question but I hope it helps.Â
