Prepost errors or crashes when opening files in read only directories

      Hello,

      LS-Prepost (all recent versions up to 4.13, normal and DP, windows) has issues when opening files in read only directories on windows shares.

      More specifically:

      • model files: when the input include INCLUDE_PATH_RELATIVE commands, the files are not found (and the model cannot be opened)
      • opening binout files leads to crashes in recent versions. It works in old versions (4.7).

      I tried various settings (do not write msg and cfile, use relative path) in the settings but without success.

      Any solution? It would be great if it could be fixed. We use these a lot to access student results.

      Could you please try reset the configuration? You can either delete this file from %appdata% or launch LSPP, go to setting > configuration settings > reset. 

      Please also share how the *include card is defined in the k file. For binout, does the file work in other places (non read only folders)? Trying to understand if there is somehting in the file that lspp us unable to read or the issue is with the drive.

      Thanks for your response. I tried it (deleted the folder) and surprisingly, yes it opens the files with the INCLUDE_PATH_RELATIVE without error.

      However, as soon as I save an lsppconf file (even without changing any of the settings, leaving all defaults), it does not find the files again.

      I tried to move the lsppconf to the subfolder and it is the same (error). Delete the lsppconf and it works.

      So something seems wrong in the default lsppconf. I have put the file created by default without changing any of the option (I just redacted the path and username) below. What would be wrong in there?

      Regarding keywords, it does it with all models we tested that have *INCLUDE_PATH_RELATIVE. Copying the files and they folders to a read/write folder on the same network share solves the problem. The first main file calling all others includes very few other keywords (several INCLUDE_PATH_RELATIVE, INCLUDE, DEFINE_TRANSFORMATION, INCLUDE_TRANSFORM essentially. In the specific file I used for the test, a CONSTRAINED_RIGID_BODIES, and a COMMENT). The error pops up at the first file not in the current directory.

      The paths are written in unix style (../incl) as the share is on a linux cluster running the simulations.

      Any suggestion?
