SubscriberHi,
I need a modal neutral file (mnf) for rigid-flexible analysis in ADAMS, and I'd like to generate the mnf in workbench. I got a method from youtube on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6asFnUr0ac&list=PLhb3ITFxzLNaL35lNzeickBVia7fdfkoF&index. The method involves two main steps:
1. Set two remote points on the aeras which to be the rigid interfaces;
2. Use APDL to generate mnf, the core command is:
RESUME
/units,si
/SOLU
nsel,s,node,,node1
nsel,a,node,,node2
adams,18
ALLSEL
/POST1
where node1 and node2 represents the Pilot Node APDL name.
Unfortunately,I didn't get "file.mnf" which I need, the content of "file0.err" is shown below:

SHPP,WARN to reactivate, if desired.

EMATWRITE,NO is reset.

expansion pass analyses. Distributed parallel processing will be
deactivated for this solution.

File genCMS.esav ( needed for element calculations ) does not exist.
*** ERROR *** CP = 19.609 TIME= 22

The step data was checked and there were errors found.
Please check output or errors file ( C:UsersTao
LVDesktop_ProjectScratchScr5997file.err ) for messages.

File genCMS.esav ( needed for element calculations ) does not exist.
So I need guidance on this matter.
Thank you very much!

Subscriberby the way
in some way ansys workbench cannot create .mnf file correctly the solution is to open Ansys mechanical APDL and open genCMS.db in it
and in the Solution>Adams connection> Export to Adams create your own .mnf file with user name. and in this way your mnf file can create correctly without any disaster
I hope to help you
