Hi 

I'm trying to export a Nodal Name Selection from the Mesh module in ANSYS.

I already created the name selection, generated the mesh, and created the nodal name selection. But now I want to extract the node IDs and their coordinates. I was able to do this easily in the Static Structural module, but I can’t figure out how to do it in the Mesh module.

Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated... Thanks!

Hello Farah,

Since Mesh module is originally meant for CFD users so you may not get an option to export the FEA nodal data. In case you want to export without going back to static structural or Model, you can convert the current Mesh module to Mechanical Module.

As shown below in the image, click on drop down arrow > Convert to Mech model and you should be able to export the nodal data now.
