On the simulation of eddy current effects in gradient coils

Hello, everyone! I am using ANSYS EM2022R2, and I am using Maxwell2D and Maxwell3D, respectively, in the magnetic transient field setup simulation. In my simulation, I want to observe the effect of eddy currents on the gradient magnetic field setup process. I set up multiple parallel coils with a 100A gradient wave current with a rise time of 0.5ms, and set up a large conductor of material iron above the coils. I set the target area for the magnetic field generated by the coils below the coils. The coils generate an eddy current field on the large conductor when the current is passed through them, and the eddy current field generates a secondary magnetic field that affects the establishment of the gradient field in the target area. However, the results obtained in Maxwell2D and Maxwell3D are different, as follows. In Maxwell2D, it is clearly observed that the eddy current field affects the establishment of the gradient field, but the results observed in Maxwell3D show that the eddy current field does not affect the establishment of the gradient field.I would like to know what to look for in this process and how to address it.

      Hi,

Could you double check if the eddy effect is turned on in the 3D design?

      Thank you for your response,

I have set the eddy current effect in Maxwell for the corresponding conductor, but the result is still incorrect.
