I'm modeling the influence of a blast on my structure and would like to plot the bending moments in a shell. However, I'm not sure how to add a circular shell in the hole.

Could you please advise how to do this in AUTODYN or Explicit Dynamics?

Hi, 

Could you clarify whether it's possible to use the Fill tool in SpaceClaim to close the hole, or alternatively, add a face without using the Merge option in order to create a circular shell as a separate part?

Or create a face construction geometry and promote it to geometry. 

Moreover, this cannot be achieved within "AUTODYNE or Explicit dynamic" directly. Please provide additional context regarding your intended outcome so that our forum moderators and contributors can better assist you.

Thank you for your response. I'm trying to model a tunnel in Autodyna, and I would like to create beam or shell elements. If I understand correctly, in a 2D system, "beam elements" are represented as shells, similar to what is shown in the picture below.

Next, I need to extract moments, shear forces, and normal forces from these shell elements, as this information is required for structural dimensioning.
