Silent Install/Uninstall full Ansys Suite and Ansys EM 2025 R1

I am a sysadmin for a university. We deploy multiple Ansys products across hundreds of machines. I am in the process of upgrading Ansys and Ansys EM to 2025 R1 from 2024 R2. I see that the two are now merged. However, we like to install these separately and be able to remove them separately as well, without removing the entire suite.

How can I silently remove just EM without removing other Ansys suites, and vice versa? With 2024 R2, I could go into the AnsysEM folder and run the setup.exe. However, it seems that it is not possible. Also, the product documentation still points back to 2024 R2 as well. I tried running Uninstall.exe -silent -electromagneticssuite but that also doesn't work

Making this silent is imperative as we need to push this to hundreds of machines using MECM and Intune.

        Hello,

So as I mentioned, I used that, and it did not work.  I ran it again with the RSM switch, and it gives an exit code 0 runs for about 2 and a half minutes, but I am still able to access AnsysEM. I’m not sure what changed. In the previous years, I could run the setup.exe in Program Files and pass “/z suppressconfirmation /removeonly”.

To be clear, I install EM by running “setup.exe -silent -licserverinfo 2325:1055:licenserver.domain.com” and it installs just fine.

It also seems to be two Uninstall files "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v251\Uninstall.exe" and "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v251\AnsysEM\config\Uninstall.exe". Though the documentation doesn't account for this. Is it possible to escalate this to an engineer who develops this?

I went back and decided to install the entire suite without EM. I provided a product file per the documentation. It listed all the components except electromagneticssuite and electromagneticsrsm. However, it still installed EM. It seems the installer is completely ignoring my inputs. Here is the product file that I used. Something seems terribly wrong with this installer.
