Hello guys
I'm trying to validate an article's results but i need to generate the exact mesh for fluid domain. i have tested different meshes but none of them gave me the results i wanted. what is the best way to generate this mesh ? i know that i have to use multizone method with face meshing for the one fourth cylinder, but i can not use face meshing. i have split the geometry as you can see in the pictures but i get errors when using multizone method for the one fourth cylinder. i don't get this error when i don't use the share topology option for the mesh connectivity. any helps ? here are the pictures :

excuse me but i did not find your reply useful. i know that the results must be mesh independent.

i'm looking for a way to generate the article's mesh. any suggestions ?

it looks like non conformal mesh between outer protrusion and main cylinder. 

please split those outer protrusion. 

keep them in different parts. do not use multi body part. 

then you can use sweep or multizone method in meshing.

thank you for your reply. as you can see, I have split the outer protrusion into another body, so I have two bodies and two parts. If i don't use multi body part, then the mesh will be non conformal. what can i do then ? these two bodies are the connected fluid domains. how can i solve it when they are not connected ?

Have a look for non conformal interfaces. I'd also mesh the model with something more advanced than block structured meshing: polyhedral elements for example.
