I have design a roll cage, and I am trying to test it, but it appears this error message: "Solver pivot warnings or errors have been encountered during the solution.  This is usually a result of an ill conditioned matrix possibly due to unreasonable material properties, an under constrained model, or contact related issues.  Check results carefully"

I have had a look to other citation of the same error, but it does not work for me.

Any help would be well recieved.

 

Ps: I am running Ansys Academic version R3

Try using a Modal analysis to check if all the beams are connected.

Thans for the attention. I ve tried it and obtained the folowed results. I am just a beginner so I have not to much idea of its meaning.

It's a good result that the first mode is not zero. When a body is not connected to the structure, you get 6 modes with zero frequency.

Delete the Fixed Support under the Static Structural branch then drag and drop the Fixed Support from the Modal branch into the Static Structural branch of the outline.

Solve the model, do you get the same error?

Yes, the same error. It solves for the Modal but when trying to solve the Static Structural, the error message comes again

Under Analysis Settings, change Auto Time Stepping to On, Initial Substeps = 100, Minimum Substeps = 1, Maximum Substeps = 200.  Change Large Deflection to Yes. Solve.  Do you get the same error?

I have just found the error! I hadn't use the Share option in SpaceClaim Workbench and check if there were any errors! Thank so much for the help!
