So I installed student version 2025 R1 to my laptop to practice using ANSYS Fluent over the summer. Problem is, that the mesh editor crashes in the middle of trying to open it most of the time. I get the error message "Error while waiting for Meshing initialization to complete. Either the application crashed or Workbench lost communication with it." Restarting workbench and reinstalling ANSYS does not resolve the issue.

I should also add that the meshing was working fine on the first day, and started crashing the next day.

It is happening with me as well. There seems to be some problem with 2025R1 installed in windows 11 maybe. 

I am getting this exact error thing
    stepControl = timelinePane.LoadControl(GenWBProgId("WBGraphUtility.WBGraph"), wb);

I found out that it is contained on 1352 line of the DSMainScript.js file. But I don't know what changes to make in this. The DSMainScript.js file is in C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\v251\aisol\DesignSpace\DSPages\scripts. 

If someone knows how to make this work please let me know asap

After playing around with it more, I'm finding the mesh is more likely to succesfully initialize if I have nothing else open (including file explorer). Memory may be the big issue here.
