SubscriberHello,
I would like to create a coordinate system at a specific point on a component in Ansys Workbench Motion, but I don’t know how to create a reference point.
I tried creating reference points in Fusion 360 and in Ansys SpaceClaim, but when I import the model into Mechanical, the reference points disappear.
Can anyone help me with this? I’d really appreciate it. Thank you very much! -

SubscriberHello,thanks for your answer,
I tried to create a new coordinate system according to your instructions, but it doesn't seem to solve my problem. Let me describe my issue again: I want to establish a coordinate system at the position of the red point in the figure, so that I can select the correct rotation axis when creating a revolute joint for these two components in Mechanical. However, in my attempts, it seems that I can only select the center of mass coordinate system. Could you help me with this? Thank you!Â

Forum ModeratorHello,
The following link will guide you to create coordinate systems. If you have a vertex at the above locations or if you know the x,y and z locations of the indicated point then you can easily create the coordinate system:
