SubscriberHello everyone,Â
I'm working on transient Euler-Euler two phase (air-water) per phase turbulent simulation. Drag model is used Tsuchiya via udf (udf runs fine), then constant lift force is added (Tsuchiya drag + constant lift) it runs fine. But when turbulent dispersion force is added i.e. [Tsuchiya drag+ Const lift CL=0.2 + turbulent dispersion model by Simon, CT=1 (default value) & limiting function none],
[time steps 0.001 sec; internal iteration 100; all spatial discretization are 2nd order upwind & volume fraction is QUICK; solution method phase Coupled SIMPLE]
All residual (absolute) are in 10^-3 order range & suddenly continuity & turbulent quantities shooting up and showing the following error
"Error: < (less-than): invalid argument [1]: wrong type [not a number] Error Object: inf"
Â
What is the meaning of this error? How do I tackle this?
I've tried to reduce the time steps, all spatial discretization to 1st order but the outcome is still same.

Ansys Employeemaybe one if the returned functions are Nan or Inf. Do you see the error without UDF? -

Ansys Employeewhat happens if not using limiting function or using Burns et al.?
