Hello There, 

I have a small thin surface and a solid body under it. I push the foil down with pressure, so that they are in Contact (Frictionless with Augmented lagrange formulation). 

then I want to delete the pressure, but also change the contact type, sop that after deletion of pressure they remain in contact. and then I need to analyze the contact pressure and force reaction.

I have tried No Separation and rough contact for the second step , but it does not converge at all.

Have someone maybe done sth like this before? please write me some tips, if you know.

Please try by adding stabilization during the second stage.

I hope this will overcome the convergence issue.
