I am trying to verify the free vibration of the fixed end beam when broken into two cantilever beam when bullet penetrates all the way through its depth by modelling in the LS dyna. The problem I am facing is that after the bullet penetrates and erosion occurs all the way through the depth of the beam, as the analysis moves further the eroded elements reappears again. On the contrary to the expected free vibration of the two individual cantiliver beam.

 

We can clearly, after the bullet has penetrated all the way through the depth, completes erosion occurs of the concrete beam in the middle, but later on as the analysis progress further, rather than free vibration of the both as cantilever beams separately, the eroded elements have resppeared back. This is my main trouble. Please hlp me with this.

For concrete I am using CSCM model. *MAT_159
