SubscriberFor reasons of compatibility (external postprocessor), I have to mesh the geometry with a 10-node-tet mesh based on Solid186 elements (tetrahedral option). But Ansys uses for quadratic tet mesh Solid187 elements by default. I have experimented with a Command blocks (ET,matid,186) but without success...

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Since you need a 10-node tet mesh, solid187 are the proper elements. Please, check in the Documentation, for solid186. There is a note saying: SOLID187 is a similar, but 10-node tetrahedron element.Â
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Stella
